The kids love their little cousin, Eric. He came over for a little while during Owen's soccer and I barely got to hold him. The kids kept asking to hold him, back and forth! Here are a few cute pics with him.
The kids had a playdate over here today. Owen and Eric came over to play with Mia and Bryce had a friend over, also. I didn't get any pictures while they were here, but this is what Mia looked like about 10 minutes after they left!
We went to the Concert on the Lake last week with my family. It was a Beatles cover band which was neat. The kids had fun playing with Owen in the water fountains.
Mia went to a birthday party for my friend's daughter who was turning 9. I really didn't think Mia would participate and last long since she was so much younger. However, she loved it. It was a dress up and make up party and she let them do her hair, we put make up on, painted nails and she even dressed up and walked out and modeled. She is so funny because she is all girly girl one minute and then playing in the dirt with the boys the next! She wants a princess party with "lips" (lipstick) for her birthday now! Notice the red mouth when she did her own lipstick!
Bryce started t-ball this month and is doing really well. His team is the Rockets and they are blue and white. He is number 9 (his favorite number because of Tony Romo). He can really hit the ball pretty far! Ryan is the assistant coach and is also having a good time. One of the other players has a little sister only a week older than Mia so she has been having a blast at practices and games with her new friend.
Mia was watching me put on mascara the other day and asked if she could "brush her eyes". I told her when she was older and then a few hours later found her with my mascara and this is what she looked like! I tried to clean it off and she didn't want me to because she thought it was pretty. So I let her look in the mirror and she said, "eww, it's yucky!".
We went down to Corpus Christi for Scott's graduation a few weeks ago. The kids loved the beach, as usual. Bryce loved surfing with Scott! That earned him favorite uncle status. We stayed on the beach and had a good time. We also spent a couple days in San Antonio at the Riverwalk and Sea World. The kids liked it and it was nice because there were no crowds. Bryce liked feeding the dolphins, but Mia would have no part in it. She asked to ride the "coaster" several times (the Shamu roller coaster), but didn't enjoy it nearly as much as she had hoped! They loved climbing on the nets and tunnels. The one pic is of Mia getting ready to "catch" Ryan!
I am a stay at home mom. I am thankful for every day I get to spend with my kiddos. I started this blog so friends and relatives could keep up with what they are doing.
