4 weeks old

Our sweet boy is 4 weeks old today! He is a good baby, but has already learned that he prefers being held. I know they say you can't spoil a baby younger than 6 months, but I think I have done it :) And I am totally okay with that. He is my last and I am going to enjoy every second. He is a sweet baby and loves to snuggle. He is a very good eater and I am sure he has gained quite a bit of weight! Even after three kiddos, I am still in awe of a newborn. Just amazing. Here are pics of him each week up until today so I can remember what he was like this little. His mouth is purple at 2 wks because he had thrush and we treated it with gentian violet. We are having one month pics done this week and I will post them. (4 wk pic is at top and they go down to the 1 wk pic)

Summer Fun

We have been enjoying the summer, but are ready for cooler weather here! The kids are really enjoying all the swimming they have been able to do. Bryce has learned how to dive and Mia can swim about 4 ft on her own. She could probably do more, but she is too scared to try. I love having a pool right now because they have been entertained and I haven't had to drag a newborn around too much. We have been going to the kids' movies each week and Keller sleeps the whole time in the sling :) We went to the Children's Museum here once, also and he slept. Bryce has been reading the Hank the Cowdog series and the author was in town so we went to a book signing. Other than that, we have been swimming! Here are just some random pictures of our last few weeks.

Keller Ryan

Keller was born on Monday, July 12, 2010 at 1:27 pm. He was 7lbs 6 oz and 20 inches long. He is so sweet and Bryce and Mia love him so much. I don't know if I have ever seen Bryce more excited than when he came in the room right after Keller was born. He kept saying, "I can't believe he is here" and "He was definitely worth the wait." Mia gives him kisses every time she passes him and says she "won't let the big boys be mean to him".

He looks a lot like Bryce as a newborn, but with Mia's rounder face and chubby cheeks! We are all very much in love with our newest addition. He likes to cuddle and is just so sweet.

Heading to Dallas

We are heading up to Dallas tomorrow to wait for Keller to make his appearance. We are still scheduled for the 12th, but the doctor thinks it very likely he will come sooner on his own. Yea! Just hoping I don't go into labor today and all should be well. Bryce and Mia are beyond excited and counting down the days.

Father's Day

We celebrated Father's Day by going to the Rangers/Astros game here in Houston. The kids actually sat through the whole game and it was looong, but we (Rangers) won. The very best thing about Houston so far in that the baseball park has a roof and air conditioning. Thank goodness! Bryce and Ryan wore their Rangers shirts and cheered for them, but that didn't stop the kids from buying Astros souvenirs! I have to get the pictures from Ryan's camera, but it was a fun day. We also went to eat at a Chinese restaurant where they had whole baby octopus on the buffet. Ugh. The kids were not impressed.

18 days!!!!

18 days left until we meet Keller! I just had my 7th ultrasound yesterday and everything looks great. He was taking practice breaths, weighs about 5 lbs 12 oz and is still a boy! We are still scheduled for July 12th unless something changes at one of the last two appts. He was so cute licking his lips and "talking" to us on the screen. We can't wait to see him and are so thankful everything has turned out okay with him.

4 More Weeks!

There are only 4 more weeks until my induction and we will meet little Keller! I am having another ultrasound next week to do a weight check. No surprise that the dr thinks he may be getting fairly big. We are hoping to still make it to the 12th, but will at least know what we are dealing with! We are ready in case he decides to come sooner and just hope he gives us enough notice to get to Dallas. His room is ready (we used the same bedding that we had with Bryce since he literally was only in the bed once for a picture!), car seat installed, hospital bag packed, take home outfit bought, etc. Now we just need him to wait a few more weeks and not get too big!
